eco-Marks of Conformity until July 2008

The eco Institute awards building products, mattresses and furniture, which meet strictest pollutant and emission requirements, with the Pollutant-tested low emissions product eco certificate or the Ecological product examination eco certificate.

Ecological product examination eco certificate

Mattresses, bedding goods and furniture which consist of a high portion of regenerative raw materials (e.g. wood, bamboo, latex, coconut, kapok) and a low energy balance in production are distinguished with the Ecological product test eco certificate.

For ecologically developed building products from regenerative raw materials, there is the European quality mark natureplus, the development of which the eco Institue was closely involved. Further information is available at Further marks of conformity.

Low emissions pollutant-examined product eco certificate

Technically optimized low emissions building products, mattresses, bedding goods and furniture, which contain no or only a small portion of non-regenerating raw materials can also be distinguished after successful examination with the Low emissions pollutant-examined product eco certificate.
