Sometimes the test report for conformity testing by eco-INSTITUT and the certification of eco-INSTITUT-Label, thus the company’s own Quality label, get confused.
The greatest difference is for conformity testing eco-INSTITUT gets the order to perform tests following certain requirements, e.g. accoring to the legal requirements of French VOC Label as a manufacturer wants to launch his product on the French market.
During thiese test eco-INSTITUT is not performing follow-up test on a regular basis. eco-INSTITUT also is not responsible for scope of testing and the respective criteria, further eco-INSTITUT is not awarding the respective certification.
eco-INSTITUT is approved emissions and pollutants testing body by the respective label providers and authorised to perform the respective tests.
With eco-INSTITUT’s own quality label it is a different case: eco-INSTITUT developed all strict criteria and the scope of testing. Further follow-up tests on a regular basis are agreed on by the contractors. Those manufacturers only who have signed the contract with eco-INSTITUT are allowed to mention eco-INSTITUT and use, if one of theirs product has been eco-INSTITUT-Labelled, eco-INSTITUT-Label.
