eco marks of conformity until August 2007
Until August 2007, the UL ECO-INSTITUT labelled construction products, mattresses and furniture meeting even the strictest requirements on pollutants and emissions with the eco certificate Produkt Emissionsarm schadstoffgeprüft (product low-emission pollutant-tested) or the eco certificate Ökologische Produktprüfung (ecological product test).
eco certificates superceded by new eco-INSTITUT-Label
Those two eco certficates are not issued any more to new products since August, 2007. The certificates have been gradually superceded by the new eco-INSTITUT-Label.
Products already labelled with the eco certificate Produkt Emissionsarm schadstoffgeprüft (product low-emission pollutant-tested) or the eco certificate Ökologische Produktprüfung (ecological product test) continued to hold these marks of quality for the period of interim til July 31, 2007.

Mattresses, bedding and furniture made of an high share of renewable resources, e.g. wood, bamboo, latex, coconut, kapok, and, additionally, being low-energy produced were labelled with the eco certificate ecological product test.
It has been replaced by the European quality mark natureplus being developed by, amongst others, the eco-INSTITUT. Read more
eco certificate product low-emission pollutant-tested
Technically optimised low-emission construction products, mattresses, bedding and furniture containing no or only a small share of non-renewable resources were labelled with the eco certificate product low-emission pollutant-tested. This label has been replaced by the eco-INSTITUT-Label. Read more
