In this year, the koelnmesse hosts in cooperation with the Ferdinand Holzmann Möbel-Verlag during the interzum the lecture piazza "textile and machinery" in hall 10.2. The main topic of this year's piazza are the developments and innovations in the area of (upholstered) furniture and bedding.

Each day between 1pm and 3.30 pm experts discuss relevant questions of the whole range.

On May 14th, 1.30 pm, Henning Bloech (UL Environment) speaks about "Environmental performance and emissions: Labelling sustainable furniture for global market access, using the LEED building standards as an example"

On May 16th, 1.30 pm, Daniel Tigges (UL ECO-INSTITUT) speaks about "What criteria must furnishing materials fulfill in order to become materials of choice on the global green market?"

For the first time the InnoMateria - interdisplinary trade fair and congress for innovative materials - is co-located to the interzum on 14th and 15th of May 2013.
