For the current issue of European Coatings Journal (03/2019) Daniel Tigges, managing director of eco-INSTITUT, contributed in cooperation with specialised journalist Karin Roth the article: “Seeking a uniform regulation. Regulations for VOC emissions from coatings”.

In this article, the experts deal with the current legal situation in the EU regarding the regulation of the assessment of VOC emissions from coatings and other construction products:

Even though DIN EN 16516 has been an EU-wide test standard for the measurement of VOCs since January 2018, the health-related assessment of VOC emissions has not yet been uniformly regulated in the EU. It is therefore up to the individual EU members to decide how they implement the European Construction Products Regulation (CPR).
