On 1 August 2023, the British government announced an extension of the recognition of CE-marked products in the UK: this means that many product groups may continue to be placed on the British market only with a European CE marking after December 2024 for an unlimited period.

However, this extension does not apply to construction products – here, the deadline announced at the end of 2022 remains in place: after 30 June 2025, construction products placed on the British market must bear the UKCA marking.
