As the German Institute for Structural Engineering (Deutsche Institut für Bautechnik – DIBt) announced in mid November 2024, German Institute for Standardisation (Deutsches Institut für Normung e.V. – DIN) published a warning note in mid November 2024 on the standard DIN EN 1993-4-1:2017-09. This standard is referenced in MVV TB under lfd. Nr. A 1.2.4.1.

The warning note points out the equations for determining contained in section 5.3.2.4 (15) of the standard may lead to an overestimation of the resistance to buckling.
