The decree (2017/22/F and 2017/23/F) on the French labelling of wood-based furniture with regard to emissions of volatile pollutants being in the notification process since 2017 set a date of coming into force on 1 January 2020. (See also our post from January 29th, 2017).
According to all available information, no further steps have been taken in France since the notification was launched.
No coming into force has therefore taken place. We are not aware of any plans for a later introduction. The last draft of the decree provided a labelling of furniture in classes A+ to C based on formaldehyde emissions of the products. The proposed very low limit values for the classes were also criticised for testing reasons.
