Adaption of TS 16516 for defining ammonium gas emission from cellulose insulation mixture sand articles
In June 2016 the Official Journal of the European Union published the ”Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/1017 amending Annex XVII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of European Parliament and the Council concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) as regards inorganic ammonium salts“.
eco-INSTITUT Europe’s first “horizontally“ notified testing body for emissions testing in the context of the Construction Products Regulation
Since June 2016 Cologne-based eco-INSTITUT is listed in the European New Approach Notified and Designated Organisations (NANDO) Information System as first testing body in the context of a horizontal notification for emissions testing of construction products according to CEN TS 16516.
New BREEAM criteria for international new construction evaluation published
End of March 2016 the British Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM) published new criteria for the international sustainability evaluation of buildings (BREEAM International New Construction 2016 – NC 2016). These replace the former evaluation scheme that has been on the market since 2013.
