European Court of Justice: Confirmation of the European Court’s decision on titanium dioxide

Am 1. August 2025 hat der Europäische Gerichtshof das Urteil des Europäischen Gerichts vom November 2022 zu Titandioxid bestätigt - somit ist die Einstufung von Titandioxid in bestimmten Pulverformen als karzinogener Stoff nichtig.

As announced by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt) at the beginning of June 2025 The German Institute for Standardisation e.V., DIN, published a warning note on 29 April 2025 on DIN EN 1993-4-2:2017-09, which is referred to in No. A 1.2.4.1 of the MVV TB.

EOTA: Publication of new EAD documents in May 2025

On 7 May 2025, 14 new European Assessment Documents (EADs) were published in the Official Journal of the European Union, including seven new EADs that describe a test in accordance with EN 16516.

Proposition 65: Vinyl acetate listed as a carcinogen

At the end of December 2024, the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) added vinyl acetate to the Proposition 65 list as a carcinogen, effective 3 January 2025.
