DIN: Warning note on MVV TB published

As the German Institute for Structural Engineering (Deutsche Institut für Bautechnik - DIBt) announced in mid November 2024, German Institute for Standardisation (Deutsches Institut für Normung e.V. - DIN) published a warning note in mid November 2024 on the standard DIN EN 1993-4-1:2017-09.

Proposition 65: Vinyl acetate listed as a carcinogen

At the end of December 2024, the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) added vinyl acetate to the Proposition 65 list as a carcinogen, effective 3 January 2025.

DIBt: Introduction of VAT on ETAs not until 1 January 2027

The introduction of VAT on European Technical Assessments (ETA) by the German Institute for Building Technology (DIBt) has been postponed again, as announced by the DIBt in a message on its website on 9 December 2024. The new deadline is 1 January 2027.

On 2 September 2024, the British Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government issued a ministerial statement announcing that the CE marking for construction products will continue to be recognised in the UK.
