Kiwa evaluations for floor and wall coverings (TAB evaluations)

As an independent TAB body (Technical Assessment Body) legitimated according to Article 30 of the Construction Products Regulation (Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011), Kiwa issues TAB evaluations after an in-depth assessment of the documentation of the performance characteristics. With these evaluations, the manufacturer bridges the gap for his products to meet the building requirements.

A TAB evaluation contains information on performance characteristics with regard to the building requirements. They are considered as proof of usability on a voluntary basis in addition to the performance description within the framework of the CE marking for the requirements defined in the MVV TB for building specifications with regard to health protection.

In order to ensure uniformity in the production process and traceability of the product, external inspection can also be implemented as part of construction supervision.
