Label for Cork floor coverings

The cork logo is the first and only test mark specifically for cork floor coverings. The German Cork Association (DKV) developed the quality seal in 1997 together with the eco-INSTITUT. It guarantees product quality, environmental friendliness, sustainability and compliance with technical and chemical European requirements and standards. The latest version of the quality assurance and quality mark for cork flooring was published in 2023.

The laboratory test includes an emissions test over 28 days and an odour test.

About the DKV

The aim of the DKV is to ensure the quality of cork products such as floor coverings, room decors, insulation and insulating materials, to optimise manufacturing and processing procedures and to initiate and support research projects.
