Label for low-emission installation and construction products

Since 1997, the Association for the Control of Emissions in Products for Floor Installation, Adhesives and Building Materials awards its quality mark GEV EMICODE® to low-emission flooring underlays and construction products.

In the focus of the tests according to ISO 16000 is the emissions’ behaviour of the VOC which are, if meeting the EMICODE criteria, classified in 3 categories by the GEV:

  • EMICODE EC1 PLUS – very low emission
  • EMICODE EC1 – very low emission
  • EMICODE EC2  – low emission.

Following GEV-EMICODE@ criteria the following products can be tested by eco-INSTITUT:
  • Installation products
  • Joint-tight and insulation products
  • Surface treatment agents for parquet
  • Solvents

*Please note: GEV-EMICODE® is not awarded by eco-INSTITUt itself. eco-INSTITUT is GEV recommended and approved testing laboratory and authorised to perform the respective tests on the basis of GEV criteria.
